Hyderabad: At least 10 people are feared dead after a six-storey building collapsed at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad this evening.
Reports say the construction of the building had recently been completed and tiling and plumbing work was on.
There were reportedly five families residing in the building when it collapsed. Four belonged to tile workers and plumbers while one belonged to the building’s watchman.
Teams of National Disaster Response Force or NDRF are at the spot, helping in rescue efforts. Telangana Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy and Cyberabad Police Chief also rushed to the accident site. Mr Reddy said violation of rules has been noticed in the construction of the building.
