Baghdad: Multiple attacks have rocked different parts of Iraq’s vast Baghdad Province, leaving at least 10 civilians dead, officials say.
According to the media reports, a police officer, who was speaking on condition of anonymity, said three shoppers were killed and eight others injured after a bomb went off on Tuesday in an outdoor market in Sabaa Al Bour neighborhood, located approximately 25 km northwest of the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad.
Another unnamed police officer also said that three more civilians were killed while seven others sustained injuries in a second bomb blast in Baghdad’s eastern suburb of Husseinia.
The officer added that a third bomb hit a parking lot in the Baghdad’s Sha’ab neighborhood, leaving two civilians dead and seven others wounded.
Meanwhile, two merchants were killed in a drive-by shooting in Baghdad Province’s southern neighborhood of Dora.
Three medical officials, whose names were not released in reports, confirmed the number of casualties.
No group or individual has taken responsibility for the attacks.
