Kakdwip: The Ganga Sagar Mela, one of the biggest religious events of the country that witnesses the gathering of lakhs of pilgrims, is set for a revamp this year.
One Gangasagar pilgrims were killed and seventeen seriously injured when their bus collided with a divider on National Highway.
The devotees were returning to Jharkhand after taking a holy dip at Gangasagar in West Bengal on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on Sunday.
While one lady died on the spot, 15 succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. The injured were admitted to the Rudranagar Gramin hospital.
