London: Abandoned car on Baker Street causes bomb scare resulting in closure in the local area today morning. Three London tube stations – Baker Street, Aldgate and Liverpool Street – have been evacuated in the past 48 hours due to security scares.
Reports of an abandoned car left outside the normally busy Tube station emerged sparked fears of a terror attack.
The station was evacuated at around 8.30pm as Met Police rushed to reports of a suspected car bomb. People at the scene described on Twitter hearing the sound of a “large explosion”.
Officers cordoned off the area as they investigated. Police confirmed this was a controlled explosion. It has been deemed non-suspicious. Roads now re-opening.”
The incident comes just days after the Paris terror attacks,where 129 people were killed.
ISIS have since threatened another mass scale attack in major cities around the world, including London.
